Greetings from Cluj, Romania!!! We are settled in I think! Got our internet access anyway. Still waiting for TV and phone! What a whirlwind trip this has been! Last Wed. the movers packed up our house in Bucharest. Thursday they loaded it on the truck. Mike went to Cluj on Thursday. I flew up on Friday and they delivered me right to the house where the movers were waiting for me to see where things should go! I had never seen the house! It is huge! The biggest house we've ever had and big yard. Wouldn't you know!!!!! Now that our little birds have flown the nest!
We aren't right in Cluj....we're in a village a couple of miles west called Floresti (flooresht). The man camp is another 14 miles out...where Mike's office is. There is also an office in Cluj...which some of you saw last summer.
Luckily the house is furnished and our furniture still fit in! We're going to have to put our dining table somewhere.... Now we are going to have a fence put in to corral Barney in the back of the house. There is a big concrete fence around the property...we're hoping he won't think to dig out!!!! The snow capped mountains are to the west of us. We're in the high plains with rolling hills and it is real pretty. On moving day we had sunny dry days. The afternoon after the trucks left it started raining....then it was a beautiful day in Cluj for unloading Now it is raining!
We have a garden spot.....last night we planted tomatoes and peppers and watermelon in little cups! But it looks like we have some sort of ground squirrels....kind of looks like a prairie dog village in places!
Back to Bucharest tonight to catch flight tomorrow! Be home Friday night at 9:15.
