Greetings from the Black Sea

Shannon and I are on a whirlwind trip to the Black Sea! Mamaia! We decided to go yesterday and rode the "overnight" train down here. We left at 7:15 PM and got here at 8:30 this morning! We even managed to sleep a little. Mike and Catalin got us off .....We didn't have a sleeper car but we were in a car with room for 6 passengers. We ended up with a handsome young Romanian guy who we called our "bodyguard". The shairs laid out so he slept by the door and guarded us. Ha! I managed to sleep 4 or 5 hours...Shannon said maybe 3 hours....The train went to Constanta, and we brought a taxi over here to the Hotel Flora. Our room is tiny but clean and comfy. We spent the day lazing and snoozing on the beach. Had lunch (pizza) at 3 and then took a nap in the hotel. We've walked this evening and then stopped at this internet cafe. Going for a bite to eat...it's 9:30
Mike is excited that the Romanian Prime Minister and the U.S. Ambassador are coming to tour the project on \Thursday and he gets to go with them in the Ambassadors private helicopter to view the job from the air! His first time in a helicopter! He's excited!
megan leaves for Boston on Wed.!!!!! She got the job and they want her to get her physical and TB shot on Thursday! Wow!
Love to all!

Oh, to be on the beach at the Black Sea!! I'll be thinking of you both! A son of a bank customer was in today, he and his wife live in Istanbul, but were formerly in Hungary~something with Teens for Christ or similar. We had a good visit! Did Mike hear a concrete panel fell from in the Big Dig killing a woman in a car? Bad! Love ya! Barb
