New Puppies
But they're not mine!
My friend Betty Sue is keeping the male. And we are giving the female to Radu (our Bechtel driver in Bucharest)!
Betty Sue's landlord had us to his "mountain" home one weekend about a month ago and they had this big Newfoundland female who was bred with another Newfoundland. Big dogs!
Turns out she had puppies but wouldn't take care of them. 2 of the pups were raised with a bottle and 2 nursed off of another dog. These 2 were the bottle babies.
They are six weeks old and so sweet.
Wouldn't you know we get them just 2 days before I leave for the states. Betty Sue is taking care of them. They really like to eat and will grow pretty fast into a Barney sized dog!
We are so excited for Radu because he really wanted one but we weren't sure who the dogs were going to....Radu was carrying a picture of a "newfy" in his shirt pocket...just hoping!
I went over and played with them today!
