Well, we'll call this the "Christmas Rose" look on the blog for awhile!
I hope everyone is doing well. We know it's a busy time of year, but we're thinking of each of you with special thoughts!
I got down to see Aunt Donna right before her birthday in November. We had a great visit. Then, on Nov. 20, got to see Josh wrestle one match! That was exciting and he was a winner! Jereme is wrestline too, but I haven't got to see a match yet. Steve, Andrea and the boys, and Dad and Mary came to dinner at Ben and Amanda's on the Sunday after, and we ate too much, again, and played some cards.
And then right after Thanksgiving, the cold winter air arrived! What a change... Advent is here, and Christmas is fast approaching! Choir practice for Midnite Mass at Fidelity started last evening. I do not have to play, but will sing/direct the choir. Jan you may know one carol we are doing, new to us, but English: The Wexford Carol. I've been humming it since I first heard it!
I just heard this morning that Gary Lortscher was put back in ICU due to a reaction to a medicine. Betty had emailed on Friday that he might be getting moved to Sabetha today, but Aunt Donna had heard he was running a fever over the weekend. So keep him in your prayers.
We are going to Omaha on Sunday to stay with the girls while Regina and Joel go to a Christmas party. That will be exciting!
Dennis has been busy moving cattle home, and trying to keep them from crossing the creek and visiting the neighbors. They have never wandered like they are this year, so we don't know what that means, but they're getting kind of ornery about it. He starts city league basketball at Sabetha this week, I guess that makes about 28 years that he has been playing town team ball!
We have a new great-niece on Dennis' side, Lucina Posh Eubanks was born on Dec. 1. Also, another great-nephew is due any day now, also in the Eubanks family (Katie)! And Dennis' sister Sara had Kinley in September, so there will be three little babies at the Rettele Family Christmas! WOW!
Do keep in touch, it's great to here from all of you! Love you all-
Barb
