The little girls had lots of fun at Grandpa's party!
The quilt (and pillow by Mary) turned out beautifully!Regina made awesome cake, as usual!
And the birthday boy after his BIG surprise!
It was difficult to keep the 50th birthday party for Dennis a secret, but with the help of many, we pulled it off! Amanda, Kim, and Amanda's mom, Jo took over in the kitchen and prepared a great meal! And the guys, (Ben and Amanda's dad, Jim) hauled tons of stuff in and out of the community building! Joel was the emcee, and did a bang-up job! Everyone seemed to enjoy getting together and visiting. We were happy to have so many family members attend, and friends and neighbors, including Lynn and Mark Mueller from Topeka. We sadly missed Dennis' sister Deb and family, Shannon and Jereme! Dennis was touched by everyone's thoughtfulness, and now, he's just ready to get some work done! Sara's girls and Regina's girls put a few miles on Dennis' old pedal tractor! All in all, a very fun evening.
Hope all is good in your little neck of the woods! We think of everyone often, and love and miss you! Happy Spring everybody!

Mom--Love all the pics you blogged! We had such a great time. My cakes don't look half bad in the photos but the quilt looks beautiful on the bed!!! I love it! What's your idea for the next one???
