I see no one has blogged for a while and I'm sorry I haven't kept up with it on my end....but I sure enjoy reading Barb and Regina's blogs.
Right now I am in the Marriott Hotel in Bucharest....We have tickets to the Rolling Stones concert tonight which is at the National Soccer Arena...wherever that is! Over 60,000 people are supposed to be there....It's well over 90 degrees here today and I gave up shopping and came to the hotel to cool off. Mike has been in meetings all day and even has a dinner meeting with the Client (the gov't). The concert starts at 9PM with 2 warm up bands so it will be a late night!
We are pretty well settled in our new house. It was furnished so we are clearing out the garage from our old furniture...giving it away...purchased mostly in Poland 9 years ago! Gave away the boxes and someone is coming to get the paper even that I saved from the moving materials...
Casey is loving her new job and home in Tuscan/Green Valley. she just worked a 4 day weekend though and she didn't really like that....she works a 12 hour shift 7am to 7pm....luckily her days aren't usually that close together. She loves her colleagues she has met, is learning new procedures, and loves the atmosphere of her workplace. And she loves being with Brian...his bday is coming up on the 29th.
Shannon called to check on us. She still hasn't had a bite on any research jobs. Says she will return to school if she can't get anything. She is enjoying working the night job at Tan-tar-a Resort for now...and it seems like she is spending a lot of her off hours with a guy named Jerome from the Netherlands!!!
Megan is counting the days til she can quit at Tan-tar-a .....she hasn't had the good experience that Shannon has....She was sort of isolated in the mini golf hut that sits up on a hill that no one ones to walk up to! But she and Shannon both have taken an interest in gardening...sprucing up our flower beds at the lake house, spraying weeds and watering. That yard really does need some TLC!
Megan flies to Bucharest on Aug 3....Shannon flies to Cluj on Aug 10. Meg will spend some time in Bucharest with her friend Ana before coming on to Cluj...Then the 11-18th of Aug we are all going to go to Antalya, Turkey for a week! We are booked at a nice resort...It's always fun to go back to Turkey. Mike is ready for a break!
If they break 1 million dollars worth of work in one day ....Mike is supposed to shave his head...it may be this week....Well...No one wanted to shave his head at work so I volunteered to do it!!!! We're going to do it in the parking lot out at the job. Pray I don't cut him!!!! I used to nick his ears once in a while when I used to cut his hair back in the college days! I think he has forgotten about that!

Hmmm... I'm picturing Mike with NO hair! Joel had a bet with his 8th graders at the end of this year, if they didn't get any detentions the last month of school, he would shave his head. Of course, someone had a detention the first day! :) So he's still hairy!!!
HAHA! Mom, you have to get a video camera on him, or use a camera in video mode and post it on utube so we can all see the act of his shaved head. This is great! I love it!!! HAHA!!!
