Well! We have begun decorating our house for Christmas! We hosted thanksgiving at our house for Shannon and Megan- really enjoyed seeing them, and showing them Arizona! Shannon brought her Boyfriend Jeroen with her and we got to have some fun together in ways we've never had before- with our boys!
Megan had to leave Saturday night, but Shannon and Jeroen stayed longer and left the following tuesday. We went out and bought a Christmas tree and the 4 of us put it up and decorated it with lights. It is so pretty with just lights brian and I don't know if we will put ornaments on it too! HA! Our neighbors have commented on the tree as it sits in our one window that faces the front of the house. We really like it there!
When we were back for Rachael's wedding in MA early October, McMom and Brian's Grandma had given us some of the willowtree nativity items so that is set up in the room with our tree as well! Currently I am listening to a Christmas CD Mom and Dad sent to help Brian and I start decorating for the holidays. They sent these cute Sheep Shelf Sitters- Hope, Faith, and Joy and they are watching over the whole scene!
It's so strange to have your own house to decorate for the holidays, but I LOVE IT too! I can see how the collecting gets out of hand eventually, but being in the beginning stages is so much fun!
Work has been quiet in some sense this holiday seasons- ppl don't bring their kids in as much during the holidays. However those that do come in are usually really sick. I was put on call yesterday at 5:15 in the morning, meaning I didn't have to go to work, but needed to report to work if called within an hour of the phone call. Well, 7:05am I got the call to go in, and it was a weird day. Today I requested to be first off and was told there were 2 ppl requesting off ahead of me, but as I was getting dressed brian came in and handed me the phone, and sure enough i was on call again! So I'm at home and it's rainy and relaxing- the chrismas lights are on, the christmas music is on, and I am in my version of heaven!
Brian has been really busy lately- this time of year is when the marijuana trafficking picks up- they have done some really early mornings this last week- I know he is looking forward to the weekend. Our company visiting list is OUT OF CONTROL AND WE LOVE IT! PLEASE COME VISIT!
Sunday Brian's friend Amy who worked for ICE in boston comes.
Tuesday the 4th my friend Jenna will be here for a week with her fiance- they are going to be moving here in February I believe and will stay with us while apt hunting.
I go to MO Dec 26th. Brian will join me Dec 28th.
Mom and Dad will fly home with us Jan 7th and stay until the 10th.
Amber comes to visit Jan 17 for a 5 day visit.
The McRents and maybe even Craig are thinking of coming in February.
BREATHE! Time really fills up fast. Kelly was wondering about coming in February as well, but I was working the weekend she wanted to come so we may have to figure out something different. It's something else all this company! It really gives us a lot to look forward to, and BOY does time fly!
Well, I think that's enough of my rambling for now. We hope you are happy and healthy. You are in our thoughts and prayers! MISS YOU ALL!
