We're still having winter! Our electricity was off this morning for five hours. Dennis got up to see if it snowed and the lights went off between 5-6am. It had snowed about 3" and rained 1/2" before the snow! Then it warmed up, the sun came out, and now we have lots of mud!
Also, five new baby calves were born today. One was chilled and got to come to the house for a hot bath! Dennis and Ben put straw out around in the timber today, hoping the cows all find a dry place to lay their babies! But several got the royal treatment and got to go to the barn with their newborns, (trying to give them a good start!).
Two weeks ago Olivia and Delaney spent the weekend with us, so I had to throw in a couple of pictures from that. We did everything from play dress up (brides) to checking the cows with Grandpa on the four-wheeler! Lots of fun!
Tomorrow is Presidents' Day and I am planning to visit Aunt Donna since I don't have to work!
I chatted a little with Jereme tonight. He wrestled in Regionals at Perry-Lecompton on Friday and Saturday and got 9th out of 15 in his weight class. One boy from their team gets to go to state. He is practicing for Forensics and Show Choir, which performs in Branson, MO in March. He mentioned he's excited about next year's musical, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, and says he'll definitely be a Brother!
Can't think of too much other news, but wanted you to know we're thinking of you all! Write or blog if you get the chance!
Love Barb
