Hi Everyone--
I'm having trouble loading pictures with my xD card, so I'm just going to write instead! I know some of you already know about what's going on with us, but I wanted to fill everyone in.
A couple of weeks ago, Joel's old boss contacted him about an administrative position that was opening up for next year at Holland Hall in Tulsa. The school did not want to go through a national search and they asked him to drive down and check out the school. They interviewed him a few days later and then offered him a position as Middle School Head for the 08=09 school year. The offer they made to him turned out to be a great opportunity for our family. It would allow me to stay home with Jillian, as Olivia heads in to 2nd grade and Delaney starts pre-school. So, after some soul searching and many difficult conversations, he decided to take the job. This has been a terribly tough decision to make, as we have truly enjoyed living in Omaha, but it's not too often such a life-changing chance comes around. I never dreamed I would be home next year instead of teaching, but I think this will turn out to be a wonderful thing for all of us! I still can't hardly believe it myself!! I know I will return to the classroom eventually, but for the next few years, I'm going to spend time at home being Mommy!!! And I'm hoping to make some cakes, too! Joel is thrilled at his new job and assures me that this is our last move in a LONG while! Okay, so I made him promise it was our last!!! Holland Hall has over 1000 students and an 88 million dollar endowment so it is growing and headed in the right direction. He's excited to be part of a more progressive, cutting-edge school.
We are putting our home up on the market tomorrow so we've been frantically trying to get it ready. We're doing all of those things now that we should have done when we moved here 2 years ago! But it's ready now and looking pretty good. Joel has spend many hours this weekend trying to get our deck stained! That's not a very fun job!!!
The girls are all doing great, Olivia had a really fun birthday party for a friend yesterday and they got all glittery, with their hair, makeup, and nails fixed. They were all so cute! Delaney spent the weekend with Grandma and Grandpa on the farm the past few days and she came home worn out, but I know she had a great time!! She's never gotten to spend time there by herself without big sissy around. So she got all the attention! I'm sure Grandma and Grandpa were worn out, too! :) Jillian is getting so big, she looks like she's going to take off crawling any second now! She has started eating cereal once a day and I even tried to give her some bananas this weekend, too. She didn't really act like she liked them very much, but we'll try them again another time! It's hard to believe she's going to be 6 months old this week!!!
Well, we hope everyone is doing well in your neck of the woods! We love you all and hope to see you soon!!!!!!!!

Love you all,
Regina
