Opening Day!

Hello Everyone!

It is always so good to logon and see what is going on with everyone :) Regina, your girls are just darlings! And Aunt Barb I loved the pictures (especially the one with the cat in the sink in the camper...ha!)

Things are moving along here in Albania. Yesterday we opened half of the dual lane highway. It was quite an affair and the crazy drivers of Albania were treating the road more like a racetrack zooming from one end to the other and jumping out of their cars every once in a while (in the middle of the road!) to take pictures. It's a miracle no one was hurt!

Since we opened up half of the road, it shouldn't be much longer before the other half is finished (just two more bridges to launch and a little more paving). Sooo, the few Bechtel people that are here and making plans for other projects. AND I'm hoping that means they'll release me soon too! There has been talk, but nothing set in concrete yet for my next assignment. I just hope wherever I go Jeroen can come with me!

Until then, I have a nice little break from Albania coming up next week. I fly to Amsterdam on the 4th of July spend the night, and then fly to London for a Bechtel training course. That will last only 3 days and then I go back to Amsterdam where I will stay for 17 days! I am so happy/excited to spend almost 3 weeks with my fiance! Mom and Dad are also going to come for a little bit to meet Jeroen's family and explore the Netherlands.

That's it for now! I hope everyone is well. Keep the posts coming! :)

Shannon
