From the Farm

Hello Family!  Long time, no hear from you!  Thought I would share a few pictures I took this evening.  A squall came over around 7pm, bringing a few sprinkles and some cooler air.  I was in the garden at the time, ran to get the camera, as on the backside of the clouds a nice half-rainbow appeared.  I was a little late, but you can see the strange looking clouds!

Dennis got done planting corn today, in spite of having a flat tire on the planter around 4pm! I planted five more rows of sweet corn as well!  My mouth is watering for it already!

It was a beautiful day here.  Nice and warm, not too windy!  I had to snap a couple of photos of the glowing sunset!

We have martins in the martin house!  And a hummingbird whizzed by me tonight!  I was glad I filled the feeders this weekend with nectar!  And I have been hearing a wren the last couple of days.  Two canadian geese are living on Ben and Amanda's little pond across the road, too.  I hear them nearly every day.  And there are no cattle in that pasture, so I can't wait to see if they hatch some baby goslings over there!

About the only flower I have blooming right now (besides the pansies I planted) are these crazy purple onion-like looking thingeys!  They are pretty, but I don't think my picture does them justice!  I tried every available setting on the camera, just couldn't quite capture the purple!

Hope to hear from you all real soon!  Keep in touch-
Love Barb
