Well, I thought I wrote a nice long blog last night and went in to check for new info and my blog never got published! Rats! Here I go again!
The big news is that we are in the process of buying another property at Lake of the Ozarks....a joint venture with Mike's brother and wife, Doug and Lois! D & L have been looking at properties for the last 3 years whenever they are down at our house.....They were driving around on Easter Sunday and stumbled on to this place! I went down on Tuesday ( with Mom Mix) and looked at it and it was really nice. 5 bedroom, 3 bath house on a cove and on 4 acres. It is located at mile marker 12 on Chimney Point in Sunrise Beach. SO it is on the west side of the lake! It is more private, less neighbors, bigger cove. There is a boat house with ramp to water and a little apartment above that....2 car garage...you'll just have to go down and check it out! I'm going down tomorrow to see about some things they want to leave there or sell.
Casey- Getting ready for final week and just called today to say she found an apartment to rent. She was excited about it.....the attic of a house or building that is newly remodeled. It is in Brighton and has a bus line 2 blocks away to take her to her work. She is still interviewing and deciding which job to take.
Shannon- Took her MCAT exam on Sat. for Med Schools. The test took 10 1/2 hours! plus a lunch break! She is relieved that it is over, but a little nervous about how well she did. She finishes up on May 7 and then has a week off before she starts summer school. She has a job to work at the dorm
desk for 20 hours a week, but also has applied for some hospital jobs. She had a sorority friend that has a furnished apt. available for the summer so we won't have to move her this summer! She will be a RA next year also but at Gallagher hall.
Megan- trying to stay focus on school...but she is with friends quite a bit! We got her graduation dress Sat. and it is lovely! She has been packing up the books for Sri Lanka in Starbucks boxes this week and the school has decided to pay the shipping for her. She had over 1000 books! Well done Meg!
Mike-Keeping busy but tired of being over there with Romanians, Turks, and other oddballs! Ha! All this craziness will be over soon and I am more than ready to get back with my honey!!!!
That's the latest! I think I did a better job last night, but tonight I've run out of steam!
Ben and Amanda--we can't wait to see the house with sheetrock!
Regina and Joel--Keeping you in prayer that your house sells soon!
Lots of love to all!
