Beantown Checking In

Hi Everyone!
Finally a note from Beantown. I am all moved, pretty much unpacked and organized, and FINALLY CONNECTED! My cable internet and tv was installed yesterday so I will be back in better contact...I HOPE. Things are pretty chaotic here as there is a ton going on. I am waiting to figure out when I will start my orientation to the medical floor, until then I am in infection control full-time and waiting for my raise to go through! The raise will be retroactive until June 1 so that will help pay for rent! In addition to this, I'm working on getting car insurance, home insurance, malpractice insurance....the life of being "grown up" SUCKS. HA!
It sure is fun to read this and hear a bit about everyone's lives. The pictures of Olivia and Delaney are ABSOLUTELY adorable. Cute kids 'Gina! I hope everyone is doing well.
Talked to Mom and G'ma Mix this morning. G'ma Mix was using AIM! I was stunned, she was pretty proud. They are well, enjoying the quiet of Cluj and enjoying the sun which has been out for the last couple days.
Brian is now in Georgia and doing well. He calls often or text messages me. Yesterday he was issued his Official handcuffs, plastic gun, and holster. They are not allowed to carry on the base unless they are on the range, but they have to break in their holsters so they supply the classes with plastic guns. He was also fitted for his bullet-proof vest and for his industrial work-suit. SCARY! He has plans to make the AZ swat team after being in Nogales, AZ for 4-5 months. He is excited about it but it scares me to death!
I am doing alright- I miss him at times, but knowing that he is enjoying his time, and excited about his future is enough to make me happy! I've also got a lot going on myself which keeps me excited and happy. We have plans to get together in Late July. I hope we can work that out- his birthday is July 29.
Well, I'm heading home now- Linda and Robin (the nurses I work with) are coming over to check out the apartment. They are going to provide me with some things like a dining room table-- Robin has an antique one she would like me to use and possibly chairs for the living room and anything else that I could possibly need! They are way too good to me.

I hope you all have a great week. Take care and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!

Love,

Nurse Casey (BSN, RN!)

Dearest Casey,
What a wonderful report on your life! It will only get better as you settle in at work and as you get all your "insurances" in order.
Life here is so pleasant, beautiful and COOL! You know how I like that. Bye for now and lots of love.
