The good news from Cluj is that we love Cluj!!!! Well, we actually love the "village" we live in about 3 km west of Cluj...Floresti (FloorESHT). It is so peaceful after the hustle and bustle of Bucharest. It is private and except for some fisherman that pass by to go fishing behind us, and the portable concrete mixer and man next door who is building a house, there isn't too much activity. Barney walks from window to window looking at me....wants me to come out and play! We have FIVE doors downstairs...Study, front door, kitchen, dining room and TV room! Lots of glass which is great for looking out at the mountains to the west, rolling hills to the North and east, and hills and a little Transylvanian style church steeple and homes to the south. It is beautiful and green out. I have some roses just starting to bloom. Willow trees in the back yard....you'll just have to come see it! Oh! We discovered we have lots of fruit trees around the house too....lots of cherries, apples and I think peaches.
Mom Mix and I have been enjoying the leisurely life this week! Have breakfast on the patio, played scrabble yesterday, then had lunch! Ha! We watched the french open tennis tournament and have been watching World Cup Football (soccer)....the USA couldn't do anything against the Czecs!!!! We went to town with Mike's secretary Onitza and she helped me order some wardrobes (closets) for the house. We are going to add a coat closet by the front door and another closet upstairs for our bedroom. Very European house....big rooms and no where to put anything!!!!!
Today Mike left at 6AM for a meeting in Bucharest ( he flies). And Megan arrives from Bucharest at 2PM! Mike comes back early tomorrow.
Last Sunday we took Mom for a drive and showed her Mike's office out in the country where all their equipment is and their "batch plant". 85 big trucks, 13 bulldozers...lots of fun stuff...It's like a giant hot wheels playground. They were starting to move some of the equipment out to the job site this week.....now THAT is exciting!
Dad would get a kick out of the fish market we saw the other day.....lots of CARP on ice!!!!!
Oh! And we looked at the pictures he had put together for us on CD the other night! It brought back such good memories and we were so blessed to have such a happy childhood!
Guess that is all for now! Love to all!
