Well, now I don't see the toolbar to add my pictures! Hmmm. WEll I guess I'll just write a letter.
How are you all? We are doing good! I've had a good week with no major dinners or coffees on the schedule! I have had lunch out a couple of times. Yesterday the Bechtel gals and I met at a new pizza place that is totally non=smoking! And it is nice! And the food was good!
The Women's club that we got going has a lunch bunch and a cooking group going so far. We have another Monthly meeting scheduled next week on the 9th at Betty Sue's ....One of our members is getting a degree in homeopathy in London and she is going to talk about that.
Oh MIke took me out for dinner last Wed. night and we went to Ernestos'....They are supposed to have the best steak in town...It was a quaint and nice place on the square....but they were out of steak that night! So we'll have to go back....I did have a good beef dish though bits of beef and bacon in a peppery cream sauce...yummy! We called it our Valentine dinner.
Mike survived the quarterly partners meeting. We still aren't being paid and he has to spend a lot of time in Bucharest next week.
Next weekend some ladies at the job invited me to go to Brasov with them. We'll take the early train on Sat. morning and come back on Sunday. Then the following week Mike has meetings in London and I'm going along!!! Yeah! Betty Sue and Erica and her baby Charbel (that is the name of a Lebanese prince....her husband George is Lebanese.) are going too! We are looking forward to some fun! Charbel needs some shots that he couldn't get here....so they have a doctors appt. there. We may go see "Wicked" ourselves! It's on at the theater....and I'd love to see "Mary Poppins" too!
The weather has returned to freezing temps the past couple of days. One day will be in the 50's then another in the 30's...it's crazy.
I made Romanian sarmale for the first time last night. It is stuffed cabbage rolls stewed in a pot and then you serve it with mamaliga (corn mush) and sour cream! Delicious! I bought a big 'ol pickled cabbage from an old lady at the market! So that's why I had to make it! I may have the gang over to help us eat it today and play some cards....it made a huge batch!
Hope I can figure out how to add some pictures....But at least I can write!
