I hope everyone is enjoying their summer vacation! So far, so good for us. Here's the news from our neck of the woods...
-We sold our house after just 30 days on the market. Somewhat of a miracle, in today's housing mess. We are thrilled to be closing on June 26th.
-We found a place to live in Tulsa - a large home we're going to rent for a couple of years. When we went down there to look at houses we weren't sure we were going to sell our house right away so we decided we'd rent something for awhile. The owners of our new house are both teachers in their 70s who are in China teaching English. We're hoping to maybe buy their house when our lease is up.
-Olivia and Delaney were both accepted into Holland Hall, after they completed their entrance testing. This really wasn't a surprise, but it's official they will both be enrolled there next year. Delaney will do all-day preschool 3 days a week and Olivia will be in 2nd grade.
-Joel takes over as MS head on July 1st.
-Our movers come here to Omaha on June 23rd/24th. Our stuff will then be en route to Tulsa and will arrive 3-7 days later. I'm going to spend the rest of that week in Kansas and Joel will go down and meet our truck.
-Jillian has become extremely MOBILE! She learned to crawl and pull up in the same weekend, about 4 weeks ago. Now, she is starting to cruise around furniture and get into everything. She's only 7 1/2 months so she's not supposed to be doing this yet, right??? :)
-Olivia and Delaney are having a good summer, too. Lots of trips to the library and the zoo, as you can see from the pictures. Mom, Dad, Ben, Amanda, and Josh came to Omaha last weekend and went to the zoo with us. The new exhibit is a butterfly house, as you can see from the pictures!
Hope everyone is surviving this horrible tornado season! We've had our sirens go off quite a few times, but luckily nothing came too close to us. The pictures of Manhattan and Soldier and Chapman are just amazing!
Can't wait to see you all!
