Sunflowers!

Aren't these just beautiful?!

We have several fields of sunflowers this year! Most of them were planted in what was wheat, harvested in July. The field we've enjoyed the most is the one out west of the house between our house and the road!

Some of these sunflowers are at Ben and Amanda's across the road by the little green house. They were planted a little earlier than ours.

And when viewed from a distance, it is the most awesome field of gold!

Then, when the heads begin to fill with seed, the plants begin to bow their heads (to the east!). The butterflies and bees are plentiful at this stage!

And-that's just a little slice of farm life for you all to chew on! Hope you enjoyed it!

Great pictures Barb! Your yard with the flag looks so pretty with the sunflower backdrop. I'll have to go out and take some pictures of my flowers for you! Everyone here knows I love sunflowers and someone brought me a sunflower bouquet for my birthday. It still looks perfect. Love to you!
